"Volunteering with SAVE is wonderful. I feel so accomplished when an animal gets adopted. Yes, it hurts to see an animal I have fallen in love with go, but it is so rewarding to know that I have helped to find them a forever home. Wouldn't you like to be a part of that?"

--Cat Rubin, SAVE Volunteer

Requirements

You must be at least 14 years of age to volunteer, but we allow children 8 - 13 years of age to volunteer with a parent. We do require that volunteers commit 8 hours per month. You must be willing to make this commitment. All volunteers are required to attend an orientation before they start their volunteer work at SAVE. The orientation lasts approximately 1.5 hours and covers SAVE's policies and procedures, volunteer opportunities, scheduling and other program information. Orientations are held at the shelter.

2012 Saturday & Sunday Orientation Dates – 12:00 p.m.
PLEASE Call to check availability at 609-921-6122 OR BY EMAIL, volunteer@savehomelessanimals.org.

Due to the enormous interest in our volunteer orientations combined with the limited space in the shelter, we are limiting our orientations to 20 people per session. Even though children are permitted to volunteer with a parent present, parents attending orientation are asked to attend without their young children. This is because of limited space.
