Considering adopting a dog or cat? We hope you will consider SAVE, A Friend to Homeless Animals. At SAVE, we are dedicated to finding all of the animals in our care new, loving homes. SAVE has many little friends to fit most lifestyles — from kittens and puppies to mature pets that will fit right into your family. When you choose to adopt from SAVE, you not only gain a new friend, you give an animal a second chance for love and happiness.
Once you decide to open your home to a shelter pet, stop by SAVE for a visit. We will work with you to find the perfect new friend for your family. SAVE's comprehensive adoption process includes completing an application form, and visiting with our animals to choose your new pet. Once you have found your new friend, a staff member at the shelter will assist you in the rest of the application process. This includes adoptee screening, animal behavioral counseling and follow-up services.
While all of our animals are tested for serious health and behavior problems, and are up to date on the vaccinations, when you take your new friend home, be prepared for a period of adjustment. Just like us, animals need time to become familiar and comfortable in new surroundings. You will be rewarded for your patience, training and kindness with love and loyalty from your new pet.
